Or is it just that stores don't get enough in initially to be able to satisfy the demand?

Won't be me. :)
I prefer to let a patina develop naturally with use.

JT's Knife Life has a video review of the Calypso Jr up. Gives you a nice chance to see it from all the angles. :)

Some on the bay now for $86.95. $10 over MAP is probably worth not dealing with having to refresh your browser 100 times a day at 20 different dealers, no? Too bad there are no 15/20% off coupons today. :(

River's Edge had them for a second. Was able to order one and got email confirm. Now you search for Calypso and not found. Shessh. :spyder:

Soooo...is anyone else thinking that there needs to be another Calypso Jr. sprint for 2019? Solid Hap40 maybe? Or something new like solid SRS-15 or YSS Hap5R? Seems like a no-brainer when they don't stay in stock for more than 5 minutes at a time...if that

Hmm. Just spoke with someone at Rivers Edge, and he said that the "reserved" listing that would allow you to purchase what showed in stock wasn't a guarantee. Hope you receive one, I backed out after taking to him.

That's the same screen I found this morning. Got all the way to the CC info before I called them. I also tried going back to said screen and can't anymore just like you noticed.

Email confirmation says 'READY TO SHIP'. I sure hope I get one because one fell through on another retailer and been scouring the various websites for one. I'm really getting tired of refreshing websites. :(

Jeez, I hear you on that. Would really like to try a Caly and in SB. The man on the phone did tell me they were expecting more to be shipped to them. So calling them would probably help ease your stress. Good luck. Looks like a beautiful knife.

I hope this gets enough attention that they run a stainless steel version for 2019.. or at least change the pivot to torx so it can be cleaned out

What the heck is a toe pivot? :p

Joking of course, I assume you meant torx. :)

Hahahahah, yes of course! However, I bet Spyderco could come up with a toe pivot and I bet it would sell!
