I liked the Patina beginning images to from the Fajitas dinner also.
Re: CPM Rex 45 Para 2 !!
One of the other members over on Blade Forums mentioned that they thought their REX was ground thinner than their satin M4 PM2. It looks like they're correct, at least compared to my other PM2s. I don't have the M4 but it's definitely ground thinner than what I do have.
This is part of my post over there....
Behind The Edge (measured approx. 3/8" from the plunge grind) / Spine (above hole and just in front of the plunge grind) / Blade Stock
Units are in decimal inches
PM2 Blk S30V/DLC - .0285 / .145 / .145
PM2 Grey Cruwear Sprint - .028 / .145 / .145
PM2 Red M390 DLT Exc. - .023 / .1405 / .145
PM2 Burnt Orange REX 45 Sprint - .021 / .138 / .145
I should note that the edge grind on my REX 45 appears to be more acute than the others. It looks like it's around 15 dps, maybe even less. The others appear to be more like 17°-20°. If the edge angle on the REX was like the others I would imagine that the behind the edge measurement would be even less.

Mine arrived today from National Knives. Looks great! I do like the shade of the orange. Very close to the HAP40 FRN models.
As with all of my new G10 scaled Spyderco knives, this one too has a nice grippy new feeling, which does tend to quickly wear off.

Me! My Edgepro should arrive today.
I don't know if it will be toughness testing in a scientific sense, but I will be beating the snot out of it on the jobsite most days. So far I am enjoying the steel, very sharp out of the box.
It is starting to develop a patina, but it's a slow one.
I can't get a good shot of the patina in the current light.

If I ever get another dog, I plan to name it Patina.
Re: CPM Rex 45 Para 2 !!
Yes, last night. The edge is really hair splitting. In the category of the 52100!
If someone wants to post a picture here, they can PM me and I can send it to them by text or e-mail. I don't have an outside server for pictures, so cant post here.
