But in lc200n serrated so we get the ffg version.

Can H1 not be FFG for some reason?

That is my understanding, yes. There's a thread, or some posts, on it somewhere. From what I recall, the work hardening properties of it, (H1) came in to play.

Ok Sal, I have a dumb noob question for you: if I held a FRN Police 4 prototype at the OKCA show, where did the tooling for that come from? I only ask because you mentioned the tooling is still being finalized, and the one I held (albeit briefly) seemed spot on. As I said, a totally noob question...

And I’m one of those much in favor of a ZDP version! :D

Cheers, Radioactive :)
It may have been a hand made prototype. If so, it didn't have the bi-directional texture?

We are currently tooling up for three FRN models in Seki. FRN Police 4, Endela and Rock Jumper. I have only seen the Endela handle made from tooling.

Hi U.w.

Welcome to our forum.

Steelcity,

That is correct. As u.w. mentioned, the work hardening properties prevent flat grinding the steel, except slowly by hand.

I am going out on a limb and guessing that the Endela is a knife half way between the Delica and the Endura in size?

If so, Endela sure sounds interesting! Rock jumper sounds like a hawkbill fixed blade? Something to very quickly cut rope?

I bet a 5 axis waterjet could do it :) , but that would definitely not be economically feasible for production runs.

First run is usually black FRN / VG-10. Then we go from there.
