Hello all. I'm a late Spyderco collector. Maybe it was because all I ever heard was Spyderco is the best, best, best! I am not a FAD follower.

Let me explain, Spyderco is NOT a fad. Which makes me ashamed of my bias. I love CRKT because of their amazing designs but after decades I stopped thinking of them as knives but more art. Then begun my obsession with steel.

Most of you reading this think I'm normal but I'm not. I am a steel whore! Please don't judge me. It's a certified mental condition or should be.

Can you find it and can it cut?

36 SUS410 Clad

Please, let me know where you have found a SUS410 laminated blade
I want one too :p
I know a company that sold aus8 laminated blades, but now they have stopped, fortunately.
If a SUS410 laminated blade existed anyone who produces such a massacre should be outlawed.

Crux,

With regard to the steels you list. I recommend amending it to specify that the M4 and Cru-wear (besides the mule) used by Spyderco are CPM grades.

My HAP40 blades are all SUS410 clad...
I, therefore, disagree with your sentiment of outlawing Spyderco.

If you write:

HAP40 clad
SUS410 clad

you're wrong to write HAP 40 clad because it means you have a laminated knife with a core in something and the outer layers in hap 40 or you're wrong to write SUS410 clad because you're saying you have a laminated knife with the core in sus410.

Or one or the other.

I have the Zdp Caly 3.5, but here the SUS410 is used for the outer layers ;)

I see what you're saying now. Thanks for the clarification.

I agree that "HAP40 clad" is a indeed incorrect.

"SUS410 clad" is not necessarily wrong, but is easily misunderstood if the core steel isn't specified; i.e. "SUS410-clad HAP40" or "HAP40 with a cladding of SUS410" would both be accurate descriptions.

Sorry for the tangent.

Don't worry, I probably didn't express myself correctly, I'm not a native English speaker and many times I rely on Google Translate :)

I really want to try REX 121, CPM 15V, Vanadis 4e, and PD1. I'm really only interested in extreme edge retention or extreme toughness.

I'm also a zdp 189 virgin and I do want to change that as well.
