I have the manix in 52100. My personal feelings are that every new sharpening user should start with this steel. This steel begs to be sharpened and is so easy. It's great for practice, although it might spoil some.JonLeBlanc wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 6:13 pmMore 52100 steel; I received the 52100 Paramilitary recently, and lord lord... that thing is THE FINEST Spyderco I have ever seen. This will probably be my next purchase unless the Native Salt or Caly Jr comes out before then. I went a little crazy during the last eBay 20% sale so I need to recover from that first! But I do like the 52100 on my PM2, and i'm hoping that the Para 3 PPCF/52100 gets made and REALLY hoping they do a PPCF/52100 Native 5 as well.

Backlocks made in Golden. Backlock Millie or PM2 would be nice. Manix 2 backlock with Sprint run as well please.

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?
FRN Karahawk in H1 serrated, backlock.
Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?
Big knives (blades > 4in) with ergos designed for average or small hands.
FRN and super-light knives without liners.
Black-coated blades.
Knives with a better handle-to-blade ratio.
Choils.
Backlocks.
All flat-ground everything.
Knives with the blade angled up from the handle like the SpydieChef folder knife, rather than down like most of the other stuff available.
Fully serrated blades, especially if flat-ground, especially if on a larger knife (blades > 4in).

+1 on the PM2 and PM3 sprints.. I just got my first 2 Spydercos about a month ago and I'm hooked.. Being on the forums with you enablers isn't helping, either!
+1 for a Spyderco guided sharpening system with lots of stone options.. Or even 3rd party stone options.
Also, since I missed them all, re-run of the Mules would be fun!

You had to go there..lol. Ill take it a step further and say more solid Japanese steels. More solid Superblue (and Hap40 and VTOKU and Supergold if at all possible). Ive sold all my laminated blades and dont plan on buying any more. Its a shame because Id like to get some Seki knives in solid Hap40, but im not even sure if the maker can do that.

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?
Native LW and G10 Sprints/Exclusives in steels other than S90V
We still haven't seen Cruwear, 52100, Elmax, M390/204P, XHP and others...hoping for 4V and 3V and V4E and Vanax as well...K390 would be fun to try...serrated H1 salt would be awesome if they could start doing some H1 in Golden

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?
More FRN affordable models (Manix XL, police 4 - like Vivi said). More interest steel combos on affordable models.
I also agree that more grits on diamond/cbn rods to make reprofiling faster. I like the new double stuff and the golden stone is interesting. More sharpening tools the better (as long as they sell)

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?
Also - more affordable fixed blades with "Avg" steels and materials. The high fixed blades look amazing, but out of my price range. Maybe more stuff like BD1, BD1N, LC200N?, 52100 (if that would work well), O1. Stainless or not, but more affordable. Handle material can be more mid end as well. KaBar has a solid combo of low end materials that come together nicely.

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?
I'll definitely jump on the more portable/packable Sharpmaker bandwagon. I'm also really enjoying the ideas and designs coming from Paul Alexander and I think Evil D's Sliverax Sprint idea is stellar.
As for the Shaman - Sprint away Spyderco! :)

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?
Personally I'd like to see more US-made models. Though I appreciate the recent release of the Para 3 and Lil Natives, and realize that's a pretty big addition to the number of models made in Golden. I also wish they made more fixed blades here. Right now the Pygmy Warrior is the only one, and it has a pretty specific appeal.
It seems maybe telling that for their affordable Mule line, it's cheaper to take all these US sourced steels, send them overseas, make a knife, and send it back in order to keep costs down vs making them here. But in terms of wants, I wish that weren't the case.
