For me, so far in my own experiences, it was the Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara 2 with serrated combo-edge, and, the Spyderco Pacific Salt, with serrated edge. I did try a plain-edge Endura and while it did work mostly well, it was not as good a cutter as the other two for that particular purpose. Perhaps a serrated Endura would work better. I was truly and gladly surprised at the cutting power of the Byrd Cara Cara through cardboard. I knew Sal and team were great and are great at designing knives but it surpassed all of my expectations for an economical folder; especially considering that there are other companies that use similiar grades of stainless steel but the Spyderco version is superior to their's, in quality and cutting ability.

If anyone has a Serrata, mine or Spyderco's, try that.
I tried my Temperance 2 over a year ago on powder filled corrugated cardboard, and was more than a tad fun... :)

WD-40 takes that stuff right off, just spray it on and let sit for a min or two.

Wipes right off.
Oh, cool. Jim, thanks for this - I had no idea.

I use my s110v PM2 - the wear resistance is really nice for this sort of thing. :D

The other evening I was working late (nearly till midnight), by myself, and I cut up a bunch of big cardboard boxes just for fun. I filled a large trash barrel full of small pieces using my S110V Military and my Dfly Salt SE, the knives I happened to have with me at the time. I was pleasantly surprised how well that little Dragonfly ate up the cardboard - I cut so much that the blade literally got too hot to touch.

Of course it still couldn't beat the Millie but that's hardly a fair test. :)

The police 4 in k390 has to be a monster for cardboard. Plenty thin, great edge retention, and that's a lot of blade that has to dull before it'll stop cutting. Ergos probably aren't the best for an hour of cutting though.

Well, just finished a 3 day volunteer stint in the Forrest where 175 good folks restored a meadow for wildlife. As part of the "Chuck-wagon" crew ended up cutting up well over a hundred boxes into manageable pieces with Manix 2 Maxamet. It kept on cutting and never quit. Every cut was clean and quick, no matter the thickness or length. Still sharp as new.

Also, FWIW, my Spyderco Sudoku sliced its share of a 120 lbs of tri-tip and the Phil Wilson Sprig and South Fork made short work of many veggies.

I've mainly used the native 5 in s90v and the Manix 2 LW in XHP. They both cut easily through even double thick cardboard. The Manix is better due to the larger handle and longer blade. I can cut less carefully through a long length with the angle changing and the blade won't come out of the cardboard. I find box cutters are good for opening boxes. But the negative handle angle and short blade makes them annoying for vertical cuts breaking a box down.

Recently I just had to break down about 20 boxes, double walled and used my GB1. No touch up needed until the last box. And yes, glue residue is the biggest enemy. ;)
Didn’t have my WD 40, probably next time...

I like a thin blade for this. My favorite is the Hap40 Stretch. I like the Delica wharnie knife too, but mine is VG-10 and the edge doesn’t last very long on cardboard.
