... and no reason to use rivets. How about screw construction so this beautiful knife can be taken apart.

Hi Peter,

We would have to change the design and retool.

Did Sal just hint at the Caly 3.5 2.0?? ;) lol

While you're adding screws, maybe open pillar construction with a compression lock? Or did I just describe an exisiting model??

A shift over to screw construction is not going to happen, I don't think you guys are getting what Sal's saying. There's barely a Caly in their standard lineup now, let's just see if we can get a HAP40 Caly 3.5 sprint off the ground folks.

There's a few 3.5's missing in the lineup below... A HAP40 sprint would be great but I've asked many times before on this forum and to Sal in person: a bolstered 3.5 Caly Damascus PLEASE!!?!

I personally like how they are pinned. I think it would look funny with screws..

Im in. Of course.

Maker has their reasons for pinned.

Blade can be adjusted and taken out though. All good.

Sal commented few times before that there is not enough room for screws. Recent comment is quite different. May be Sal figure out how to fix "no room" problem. And if he did, may be there is a chance. Hopefully better than "slim".
You are correct that today barely a Caly in lineup. And most likely with $186 MAP this knife has very tough competition. As much as I love this knife, may be replacing CF/ZDP189 with polished G10 and steel less expensive than ZDP189 will allow to keep classy look and reduce price, which would allow the knife compete more successfully and increase sale.

Thank brought a smile to my face. I go back and forth between the two sizes and own a few of each, but I do love the extra cutting edge compared to the steeper belly.

Both sizes are good. Just different. And both are needed.

I think Golden would do a better job on the knife. However, I am in for a Caly 3.5 in HAP-40 made in Japan, too.
