Yes, I got real lucky with the grain on mine. Overall it's a great knife, I did file the kick on the sheepsfoot and flattened the swedge too as it sat uncomfortably high and dug in. I carry it quite often now, did some carving with it this aftn.

1981 Victorinox soldier, I bought in Luzern in 1981 while on vacation.... most used knife I own.

I only have about 10 other knives in my collection that aren't Spyderco. I carry a Victorinox rambler daily in a pocket of a leather field notes sleeve, and either an Esee Izula as a neck knife or a Mora Robust on my belt while hiking.

I also have a Tactical Keychains copper Tukk on my keychain as well if you want to count that.

Leatherman Micra. Favorite pocket sized multitool. Also a Nitecore TIP. So nice never dealing with batteries.

RFP... Imperial EZ open brown bone jack.. WWII era

On the belt in a sheath is a CASE natural smooth bone trapper!!

On a side note.. The trapper was a gift from my 2 LEO kids at Christmas.. On the bone is laser engraved "My Dad is my Hero".. When I opened the package and read this I teared up as I never considered myself as such.. They are my HEROS!!!! John :D
