That was my first thought when they mentioned, "we will be introducing it as a blade steel in elite versions of some of our best-selling US-made knives."

A dark gray handled Maxamet PM2 would be pretty freaking awesome!

O M F G

Just in time for my birthday!

When I made it to the Manix part of the newsletter I almost flipped my desk. If it ended up being Maxamet in the fluted CF Native that would be amazing.

I know.

Two of my favorite knives in my favorite color with a new steel. I guess I'm not done buying knives after all.

I just read this in the Byte. Not sure yet if I'll get the Manix but I'm in for one of the Natives for sure. I was just about to order a S110V Native but I think I might hold off for the Maxamet....or maybe not...

I think I might need to buy another knife storage box! :D

I need an intervention! Someone take my credit card away. I think I can pass on the manix but I'm going to break and get that native. I just know it. Just when I get the native, the pm2 will come out. And then who knows what...

Following on the heels of the MT24 will be the Manix™ 2 Lightweight with a Maxamet blade, which will have a “stone gray” fiberglass-reinforced-co-polymer (FRCP) handle. It should begin shipping in September 2016. Next in line after that will be a Maxamet Native® 5 Lightweight, which should be available by the end of the year.

At Spyderco we enjoy pushing the limits of knife technology and offering you high-performance cutting tools you just can’t get anywhere else. We are extremely proud to be one of the only companies in the world offering Maxamet blades on our knives and very excited to hear about your experiences with them.

Aside from my testing the Mule Team has been performing well in typical tasks. :)

No patina yet either.

I'll admit the grey has me as excited as the steel.
