Military handle idea

#1

Post by KBR »

I know that the Military is very easily deployed out of pocket by gripping the Hole followed by a Spydie drop. But I was thinking today that the handle on the Millie could also be easier to grab and deploy from your pocket by adding some "grip" to the back of the G10 handle(about the last inch that is even with the pivot).

I carry my Military in a custom horizontal sheath by Vess and I think that this 1", or so, of textured spine on the G10 , would help the purchase when I'm taking it out of the sheath. However, I think that this mod could/would benefit regular pocket carry too. Maybe one of these days, I'll get a Dremel and cut it out myself.

What do ya'll think?

KBR --

Sounds like a cool idea to me.

I've been impressed with recent postings by other forumites showing their modifications to G-10 handles (like the Dodo).

I recall at least one other knife design that showed an indexing feature (in aluminum) on the back-end as you suggest. I think you should go ahead & rev up that Dremel!
