I tell ya what fellas, Mike Janich is un-real. In not only what he can do with a knife, but what he knows about knives as well.

Through the years I've found it interesting working with a friend of mine who used to graft trees in his apple orchard. Most of the grafting knives I seen him use were Wharncliffe blades. I've wondered why over the years too.
Also last night I was fine tuning the edges on some of my culinary blades because I have to help with a big church dinner this upcoming weekend>> I was finding it interesting that some of the Chef's knives I've collected over the years had a Wharncliffe type design on them. There are no doubt some advantages to Wharncliffe type blade designs for a wide range of uses.
It was a very interesting article as well. Over the years I've enjoyed and learned a lot from Brother Michael Janich's great work. He's been a great addition to the Spyderco staff as well.
I was hoping that someone would have taken over "Tactical Knives" magazine because I always enjoyed Mr. Janich's articles in that great magazine as well.

JD: It makes me want to get the Wharncliffe Delica. But I was holding out for the Wharncliffe Endura because I prefer the 3.5 inch type of blade length.
