So I just discovered this guys channel. Rick Beato. I used to be in the music game, and this dudes vids remind me of my time studying music production. I know a few of you here on the forum have a background in music as well so I thought I'd post.

I will never listen to the Drums on a Rage Against The Machine Album (Or a few other albums) the same way again. I knew this technique was possible but never realized Wallace used it so much on the Albums he produced. They're all the same Drum sample!

Just yesterday I was going through some old 33 RPM vinyl record albums ( Prehistoric era  ) and found some old Janis Joplin, Ten Years After, Joe Cocker with his Mad Dogs & Englishmen ( back in the old Rita Coolidge days) and some vintage Joan Baez. I guess it's fair to say it was kind of a WOODSTOCK era flashback  After listening to the First Lady of ROCK i.e. Janis Joplin and her sister in crime Joan Baez :D it really set me in a great overall mood. Then after playing most of the old TEN YEARS AFTER album "Stonehenge" it just set me up for listening to Joe Cocker's version of "A Little Help From My Friends" which is one of the very rare times where someone took an old BEATLES song and did it much better than the original  .

Then I got out my old BLIND FAITH album and played "Can't Find My Way Home" and at that point I truly got to wishing that time travel was an option  . I then came to the conclusion that the 60s & 70s truly was the GOLDEN ERA of Rock Music>> and it was also a great era for folk and other genres of great music.

Oh did I mention that I also found the old SPIRIT album entitled "The 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus". Again I truly wish that time travel was a viable option :) Those truly were the GOLD OL' Days of music. I dare anyone to top that

Yeah BUDDY!!!! That be the one  !!! I can't even begin to tell you all how many times I played that album over the years. It was most definitely SPIRIT's very best album and they had some really good ones too. Here on our local Radio Station KCFX The Fox 101.1 FM they play "Nature's Way" which is one of the better songs on that album. And don't forget "Prelude: Nothing To Hide">> if that song doesn't charge your batteries then you might just be comatose
It truly blows me away when I speak to a lot of young people who tell me that they like Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and about a dozen others I could mention>> they tell me that they far prefer all those 60s & 70s groups way above most of this newer stuff

Guys like Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot and Judy Collins in the folk sector are even eons better than most artists of this present time. That Dr. Sardonicus is just the coolest album cover too. SPIRIT was a huge band in the California music scene at that time as well. It's always fun to drive down "Memory Lane"

Avril Lavigne's new album. My daughter got me hooked on her like 7 or 8 years ago, and I called her the other day to ask her where the **** did she go and the next day she released an album. How cool was that?
Can you find it and can it cut?

Been on a pretty big Brothers Osborne kick since seeing them over Labor Day. Just plain good southern rock & roll/outlaw country.

I must have listened to this song hundreds of time, and I never noticed the girl singing.

In between the verses after the line "out of her head she sang" you can hear Daves girlfriend at the time singing along with the guitar part "Do do do doo, do do, do do doo...."

And the second and third time he sings the chorus right after "and I wonder when I sing along with you...", she sings the chorus with him.

Kind of cool that he's singing the song with the girl the song was about. Adds some depth to a song I already really liked. The girl is Louise Post of Veruca Salt if you were curious.

I'm really surprised that more of you guys from the UK and Australia haven't mentioned some of your national pride in the way of great music. Two groups that I thought was just outright awesome from the UK were Roxy Music and Curved Air. Roxy Music had an album I literally almost wore out and that was "SIREN" ( with Jerrie Hall" on the front) And Curved Air had an awesome album entitled "Phantasmagoria".

Now Brother BLOKE I'm almost ashamed of you :D for not doing your immitation of Angus Young of your favorite Rock Group "ACDC" :D I bet if the truth were known you are probably related to him

And for you guys over in the Netherlands who could forget the great rock groups "Focus" and "Golden Earing"
