Delica mods

#1

Post by Daveho »

Love the old school straight spine delica and for a bit of flavour I have added a little swedge.
Not huge changes but a bit fun and make me think a little Paramilitary and a little dragonfly while retaining the ergos of the delica.
This delica has been around awhile so it’s scuffes up and sports a 17 degree bevel.

Nice job!
That swedge looks nice on it!
And I agree that the straight spine is nice.

I'm not sure if it's something I'd like for my Delica, but that looks like a clean swedge - well done!

Clean job. Do a good deed and mod one for me please :)

This was just done by hand on one of those lazy Sunday arvos.
Makes me want to get back into doing something in the shed.

I’ll be interested to see how the tip holds up.
I actually did leave a slight down turn to the tip but it’s more gradual than standard.
That said however I have always wanted a kahr delica..

Very good work, looks nice! Though actually I like the Delica (and Endura) especially for the stouter tip and am sometimes thinking of going the opposite way on my Millie - shaping the Tip more Endura-like.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

If you do it some day please tell me how you modded the HANDLE (and added that hook on the rear end)... ;)

Looks good: I like the blade. Not too wild about the choil, but if it floats your boat, good for you.

Looks really well done Daveho. The job I did adding a choil to my Pacific Salt looks comically bad in comparison.
