Like a few others have said, I'm pretty psyched about the "basic" version already and want to get a feel for the capability of both the Para 3 LW platform and BD1N before I start requesting new variants... I will say that color variations in the handle scales (especially translucent!), as well as a Salt version in LC200N would likely get me to buy a second or third example ...pending of course the P3LW being as awesome as it looks to be.

Translucent "smoke" gray with K390.

It would be nice to see more s90v as it's an awesome steel.
Can you find it and can it cut?

I'd like a S110V Para3 in Midnight Blue FRN.

The FRN color is easier on the nerves than the Blurble G-10.

Like to see an Endura with BD1N also, sounds like good stuff.

I like that idea, and agree with your thoughts on the aesthetics.

KW could do green 204p
Would love to see KW do that in either LW or G10. My PM2 in 204P wants a little brother.

I suspect that a KW 204p/green P3 (either weight) would be one of those instant sell outs.

K390 or some T15 type steels like S390, S290, Vanadis 60, HAP72. These can go like 68-70HRC. I'd like a more extreme REX45 steel.

I think the Para 3 LW was designed to be a lower cost entry into the Spyderco's best knife line. Maybe a few lower cost metals might make sense, but the real steel belongs with the Para 3 HW line as it should.

I actually love the idea of bringing steel snobbery to the masses with sprints of their lw knives. The k390 urban is a great example of this if I could get a para3 in K390 or cruwear, rex45, 4v, elmax etc... for $120ish or less I'd be quite pleased.

How about some HAP72, Vanax Superclean, Nitrobe 77, 15v, s390? I'd also be happy with M4, Cruwear, s90v, Maxamet, k390, 4v... Neon green? Teal? Pastels? Translucent colors would be cool. White?

Have you used those steels?

I've been putting a Nitrobe 77 knife to work in the kitchen and so far I'm pretty impressed. I still need something in Vanax Superclean, though. I have a 15v fixed blade and honestly I'm not convinced that it's any better than 10v (I have a virtually identical FB in 10v) for my uses.

Or actually just BD1 with multiple color options would be fine with me to keep cost low
40 Spyderco knives in 11 different steels,
1 Byrd and 30 “others”
