I think it's the size of the blade and the titanium that drives the price up. Its def on my list of ones to get this year.
Makes sense. What is a blade shape like that used for?
Folding machete? :D

For some reason I was thinking a sod buster pretty sure that was an old Case Knife design but this would be on a mega scale.

It popped up on GPKnives coming soon section. Not sure yet if it's a distributor or dealer exclusive.

I don't think GPKnives has done any exclusives in the past.

That thing is awesome. Love the orange, needs a different steel. A2 or 52100 or O1. Something with high toughness, cause it’s going to be used to chop.

I called GP Knives about this today. I was told, 'about' a 3 to 6 month wait yet. For the Manix 2 M390 Black DLC Blade Earth Brown G-10 Limited Run (USA) and the Manix 2 M390 Satin Blade Earth Brown G-10 Limited Run (USA). They also added, that Spyderco/Distributor, weren't giving them much info on it.

I was also told, that it was a Distributor Exclusive, and not a Dealer Exclusive. So my search continues, as to who that Distributor is.

If I had to guess. I'd say Moteng, or Blue Ridge Knives.

So, we'll likely see it offered from several Dealers, when it does finally drop. :D

That's interesting; something makes me think that DLT is itself a distributor, although I could be entirely wrong about that.
My collection so far: 52100 Military (2); 52100 PM2 (2); 52100 Para3; Stretch2 V-Toku; KnifeWorks M4 PM2; BentoBox M390 PM2; BentoBox S90V Military; Police4 K390; S110V PM2; SS Delica AUS-6; Wayne Goddard Sprint VG-10
Wish list: Hundred Pacer; Sliverax; Mantra; 52100 PM2 SE; Kapara

DLT is a dealer like BladeHQ, KnifeCenter, KnifeWorks, Cutlery Shoppe, etc.

Distributors are like JB Outman, Blue Ridge, H.L. Dalis, Moteng, etc.

You can have exclusives from dealers and distributors.

Additionally, you can also have Spyderco Sprint Runs and Flash Batches.

It's not on the list, but it looks like the SpydieChef is popping back up (just ordered one from the outlet) after a long pause in production.

It's not a new model.
