CQI Military lanyard tube

#1

Post by AlexRus »

Hi guys,
Any idea if the lanyard tube on the new CQI Military is just the same size as on the Paramilitary 2?
Are they interchangeable? Anyone knows?

I do believe they are the same. Just not 100%

Hey AlexRus,

I just measured, with a vernier the three (3) dimensions I could access on an assembled Millitary and PM2 (both S110V).

Length is the same, internal diameter is the same and external boss diameter is the same. This leads me to believe they are identical and interchangeable.

Best Regards

AlexAus. :)

Just was thinking of putting custom carbon fiber scales on the CQI Military and wanted to make sure if the lanyard tube dimensions are the same as on the Paramilitary 2.
Just in case :)
Because if a lanyard tube is damaged while disassembling and reassembling it's easy to get a replacement titanium lanyard tube for the Paramilitary 2 from Flytanium, but I never came by the replacement lanyard tubes for the CQI Military
Thanks once again AlexAus :)

Based on inside knowledge from high level Spyderco Executives I can report that based on this insider knowledge that it's basically a 50/50 proposition.
Can you find it and can it cut?

Additional insider information indicates that no one at Spyderco was actually contacted (whatever), but we still stand behind this prediction.

Funny I was just thinking about this last night but with a Para 3 instead of the Military. Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know if the para 3 lanyard hole is the same as the para 2?
Most recently acquired: Military 2, Paramilitary 2 Tanto x2, YoJUMBO, Swayback, Siren, DLC Yojimbo 2, Native Chief, Shaman S90V, Para 3 LW, Ikuchi, UKPK, Smock, SUBVERT, Amalgam, Para 3 CTS-XHP, Kapara, Paramilitary 2 M390
Grail Paramilitary 2 M390 X 2! ACHIEVED!!

I guess we need information from spyderco staff... Or at least from someone who already tried replacing those lanyard tubes in person...
