Given the hypothetical situation, I'm walking out with the most expensive knife available at the time. Whatever that may be.

I'd prefer to win something I have less chance of buying on my own.

Right now, I would probably choose the Darn Dao.
If the Janisong was an option I would definitely choose that due to its restricted availability in the US.

Well in that case I would include this to be a Spyderco Caspian Salt with engraved blade saying "From Sal and Eric Glesser to me".

Sal's Respect. Though I have no idea how to get it past customs. But just to handle it, and know it's mine...

Let’s say you walk into SFO one day and Eric and all the staff are there to greet you. Balloons and sparklers appear. Big hoorah! You are the official umpteenth visitor to SFO and you get to walk out with any knife that is for sale in the store.

Which one do you pick?
I’d go with either the Para 2 or 3 in S110V.

I’ll say I share Spydersense’ fantasy of a Golden Janisong! I’d EDC that just cause I can. Otherwise it’d be a Drunken I think.

But in reality, there is nothing quite like a gun. And it has been said, "The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun".

Does that complexity decrease the simplicity? Not at all.
