Syderco flick causing wear point on ladybug H1

#1

Post by Keiran.a »

I’ve got a ladybug H1, currently my only spyderco but not for long. Just learned to syderco flick (middle finger), very pleased with myself. As you can expect i was flicking it non stop for the next 20mins.

When i finally stopped and looked at the blade i noticed there was a mark on the blade where the finger groove “peak” nearest the lanyard whole had been rubbing on the blade. My guess is that the excess pressure my middle finger exerts during the flick is pushing the blade towards the inside of the scale, but perhaps this wear point was already there and i only just noticed it.

Is this wear mark normal, is it worth me trying to file the insdide of the FRN scale to stop it rubbing or should i just stick with doing the spyderco drop instead.

Peace.k x
