If spydies had babies

#1

Post by george.hill11c »

If you could combine your favorite features from your favorite spydies, what would they be? I think a native with a ball bearing lock from a manix would be interesting. Maybe a lil native with the blade of a chappie?
Delica 4 vanilla, Para 3 LW Spy27, Native 5 REX 45, DF2 salt, Spydiechef, Endura 4 Teal, Manix 2 REX 45, PM2 St. Nick's, and a PM2 Black DLC. Plus a Manix 2 XL BHQ when that decides to show up

Chaparral with the CBBL lock from the Manix.

It's my understanding that it won't fit into the Chaparral frame, so my second choice would be the Native CBBL that you mentioned.

A Native with the Q-Ball lock. Or a Manbug with a Jester-like blade (Manster? Jestbug?).

There is one model I would like to see a Jr. Version of >> that being the C-60 Ayoob. I would love to have one about 2/3rds the scale of the original. Even in combo edge that would be a nice "gentlemen's" knife to have. But for the most part I'm just the opposite. There are many more models that I would like to see in a larger scale. The Dodo model in particular I think would be a super useful blade in a larger/bigger/wider scale. I've even had thoughts of the old Salsa being a big time blade in a larger scale. Who knows maybe a larger version of the MEERKAT would be cool.

But it's an interesting thread none the less.

This has already happened (for my needs/wants). I'm just waiting to see more of the linerless G-10 tech to show up in models like the full size Calypso or Police 5.

Come to think of it, this would make a fine candidate for a linerless work knife...

I would like to see the offspring of a pm2 and an Endura. Either an frn/frcp compression lock with the pm2 blade shape, or a liner less g10 Golden lockback with the pm2 blade shape. Maybe they already exist in another model already, and I’m completely unaware.

I'd rather have a CBBL in it. :)
