Add to that the possibility that I'll miss getting a CS exclusive (can't imagine they'll last more than an hour, even if it's a full 1200 piece run) and BBS might go back to full retail on their exclusive in the meantime...
I am in the same boat on the what to buy next decisions, decisions, etc. With 2019 around the corner, I've decided not to buy any of the upcoming PM3's. I'm counting on some surprises next year that will top these two choices. The Exclusives from this year alone I would have never seen coming.

I own the M390 version from BBS and I love it, everyone and their mother knows that M390 is a fantastic steel. And as far as those blue scales are concerned, I was planning on swapping them out with some aftermarket scales, but when I unboxed the knife that blue G10 looked so sharp I decided to keep them. Just wanted to give my feedback on the BBS version, but I’m sure you won’t be disappointed no matter which version you choose.
Just a man with a plan and a knife in hand.

My knives: Para 3 S110V (customized), Para 3 M390, PM2 S110V, Manix 2 CPM 154/S90V, Dice, Rubicon, Vrango, Native 5 CPM 154/S90V, Manbug ZDP-189, Ladybug, Chaparral LW, Kizer Megatherium

I’m sure you would like the BBS M390 Para3 because it sure seems a lot of people do, but you know what, I got a BBS M390 PM2 because it was the hot commodity, but it left me strangely unsatisfied, like I was kinda “meh” about it. Don’t get me wrong it’s a fine instrument, just like any other PM2, but it didn’t do nearly as much for me as the 52100 PM2 did. Now that thing had me wanting to eat 52100, lol jk.
My collection so far: 52100 Military (2); 52100 PM2 (2); 52100 Para3; Stretch2 V-Toku; KnifeWorks M4 PM2; BentoBox M390 PM2; BentoBox S90V Military; Police4 K390; S110V PM2; SS Delica AUS-6; Wayne Goddard Sprint VG-10
Wish list: Hundred Pacer; Sliverax; Mantra; 52100 PM2 SE; Kapara

You like M390 and polished edges and BBS has them avaliable now. Get it now.

Your lukewarm on XHP steel and there’s no guarantee you will get in on the initial CS rush. So you could be empty handed after the drop date. Remember St Nicks sold out in 40 minutes unless you wanted the package knives deal.

The S35VN Para 3 got a 240/800/yellow stone strop progression yesterday and the result easily satisfies my "need" for a stainless blade that takes a really good polished edge! Top that off with the sudden release of the KC CruWear exclusive and my dilemma is gone... Now I can wait as long as it takes for an M390-ish Sprint to come along.

Lucked out and got the BBS Para 3 and St Nick's 4V version. Very happy to have both. My version of the St Nick's has some problems out of the box, nothing major. While I have gotten that all worked out, the BBS has been in my pocket when not in work. Scary sharp as well, bite me yesterday lol. That's how you know your Spyder loves you back ;)
