"pin" written on the box

OK so this was driving me crazy for a while, why would Spyderco write pin on their boxes. Looking on Arizonacustomknives site most of their models say pin after the title of the knife.

I noticed on my box it seems to say the same thing.

Then I looked at my Positron box which somehow got all caps on the sticker. It says POSITRON PLN.. Mystery solved it's PLN for plain edge. So now instead of it bothering my as to what it means now it bothers me when I see it misrepresented haha

What is even more frustrating is the many people advertising a "Spyderco ....... pin knife" on eBay when you are try to find the tie pins :)

I think it's an L not an i.

As in PLN or pln, not pin.

Sorry I never made it clear my point was I know it's PLN because of the positron box.. but I see it listed as pin quite a lot on some sites, so I wanted to make this post in case anyone else was wondering about it as well.

I’ve seen it in listings on e-bay, never noticed it on my boxes, but now it makes sense. Thanks for posting it.
