Yes I'd absolutely be in on a 52100 UKPK. I'd love a drop point. We all know and love the quintessential Spydie leaf shape blade, no doubt, and are familiar with its benefits. One aspect, however which can hold that blade shape back in some knife work is its very tall/wide profile. The Stretch is a great design that meets the need for a knife that can turn and rotate nimbly in the cut. I think a UKPK drop point would be a great configuration to get the most out of a razor edged 52100 blade, a kind of mini-Stretch if you like.

The Stretch was obviously made with field dressing out and meat boning, hunting type tasks in mind, but a drop point 52100 UKPK would be a superb fruit peeler and parer as well

Don't care about the colour really. Yeah a green of some kind sounds fine.

I understand your disinterest but have you tried a UKPK? A few years ago, I had 0 interest in a slip-joint Spydie. After reading about them here on the forum I decided to try one. I'm sure glad I did! The way the blade clicks into place it's just short of it being fully locked. It's kind of hard to explain but it's basically locked but it unlocks by pushing on the spine. With your finger in the forward groove there's no worry about hurting yourself if the blade does close somehow.

I still want my locking folders but the UKPK can handle most of what I use a EDC knife for.

Exactly.

Ok, ok...make a drop point UKPK with DLC 52100 and i'll try my first slippie :D

But yeah, I'd still buy any colour or blade shape of UKPK in 52100, Spyderco would care to release!

The UKPK in 52100 would be like the latest evolution of that long line of traditional carbon steel slipjoints.

Yes!

Any color handle with this steel would be great. I was thinking a dark grey would kinda match the other 52100 models that have been released.

Yes, but with a really cool steel I’ve been wanting to try out forever.

Anything but pink, really. Tomato red? Goldenrod yellow? Not a coated blade, please.

Not particularly asking for it on this knife, but Goldenrod yellow always sounded like a great idea to me. It's in bloom here now:

This is what I found for goldenrod. Kind of mustardy burnt yellow.

Can't sweat the details lol. Who knows what's actually available for the frn... Anything in a yellow-orange "goldenroddy" color would be cool to see imo. :D

A bit too burgundy to me. How about a more tomato red?

+1 on the drop point version. I held my first one at Blade West Show. I knew immediately I need one of these.

Count me in on this. For one reason or another I have not gotten a chance to add the UKPK into my collection. This steel would definitely do it. I am also in favor of using the UKPK in general as the mule platform while the fixed blade are on hiatus.
