They are scheduled for production in August, will probably make it through QC in July. It's a nice piece if you like autos. Quite a departure in pattern from the original Autonomy. Same mechanism.

It's a shame we didn't get to see it in Amsterdam, i fully understand the difficulty with autos in Holland / in transit though.

Oh I've seen it, just wondering if a sheepsfoot is in the future too.

I really like the Plunge Lock...it's a great piece. I like that it can be serviced without taking the whole thing apart...that's really nice. I typically don't even care for autos but I really really love my Autonomy and I'll be checking out any knife you make with this lock.

Thanx for the support Evil. Variations will depends on acceptance and demand? I carried the proto "2" quite a bit and it proved to be very functional.

I'm so excited for the Autonomy 2! The new Autonomy addresses every issue I had with the original and I suspect this knife is going to become a new favorite on the kayak!

*Sal, I'm afraid I didn't quite understand your first comment about when these were slated to be produced/released.

I pre-ordered as soon as the page went live. I've owned many Spydercos but this one will really be a first for me - my first auto. I'm really looking forward to this even though I'm left-handed (hint, Sal) ;)

Yes, I know it is cost-prohibitive to make a lefty version of every knife. Still, a fella can dream, can't he?

Hi Lance,

I'm guessing that we might be shipping by late SEP, early AUG?

Sal,

Is there any plan to discontinue the original (SE, H1) version? Or will both continue to be available?
