It sold out immediately from Bladehq, and is still in preorder stages at Knifecenter. However, I was just bumming around on River Edge Cutlery... and they have them in stock! I've been eyeballing this sprint run for almost 5 months now... and I did everything I could to resist but... with the Yojimbo 2 s90v at bout 180 - 190 bucks... 160 for a one of a kind Manix 2 seemed like a steal... especially considering how much this baby will cost a year or 2 from now.

Excited to see it in person, the Facebook page showed 2 units side by side and the patterns were definitely unique to each piece.

Eh, the Manix is just not for me. I bought the 52100 and while it's a fine knife, I don't like the CBBL.

Based on the pics I've seen on IG and FB I actually thought it was released a while ago.

As much as I like the Manix I'm not interested in that burled version at all. It looks like a chocolate dessert. Don't get me wrong, I love chocolate desserts but I don't want a knife that looks like one. ☺

Not sleeping, it's ugly IMO. Too bad because I love the Manix 2 and it's the first model I haven't liked.

I agree, love the Manix...but that knife is just ugly. Cool they tried to be creative and different, maybe a different color scheme would have looked better?

Just can't do that color scheme. Not too sure it's gonna' cost a lot in the future.

Absolutely, those scales are not what I'd call attractive.

I love the Manix 2 and I really like those scales. I just wish the blade wasn't blacked out. A purely cosmetic addition that in my humble opinion detracts from the knife's primary job; cutting performance.

It isn't so much the burl that I don't like, it's the colors of it. If this were black/red/gray swirls I might be more interested. I'm also way over the recent DLC craze, they missed me on that one by about 4 years.

I love the manix design and blade shape but in reference to the scales “thats a face only a mother could love”. But on a positive note it’s not that spyderco hit a home run but that they took a swing that counts.

I can’t enjojy carrying and using a Manix. It s one of those love-hate things. I want to like it. But for me it is too much of a thin knife slab, uncomfortable in hand and pocket. Did not care for the BBL either especially closing it.

I don’t like coated blades and the scales look like melted ice cream.

Hope Spyderco doesn't give up on the burl if this one ends up collecting dust. I would definitely be interested in the color scheme outlined, but think only a DLC blade would do it justice.

I did not care for the Manix for 2 years for the reasons given. Only after getting the LW and forcing odd calluses after 100's of openings & closings did I come to love and appreciate this model.

sadly I avoided it because it didn't have a skeletonized liner

Not into the G10 Burl, don't want anymore S90v, has solid liners... Already have probably a dozen Manix2s. Now if this was Pakkawood and something like maybe K390

Not into this color scheme at all.
