Anyone know how hard these scales would be to swap? Wondering how the pakkawood would look with the black.

The swap should be pretty straight forward. They're basically the same knife. Just different scale materials and metal finishes.

The red scales are the same color as what was used on the red PM2 M390 exclusive. So I know the Delica would look good with the red scales and satin finish (IMO of course). But I'm not sure I'd like the black blade and hardware in the Pakkawood scales. You never know until you try it I guess.

Boy, this color combo sure makes for nice pics. Snapped this one before I used it to cut some of these flowers for my wife.

Got both of mine today and they are beyond expectations. Definitely the best looking Spydie Ive seen. That deep semi-translucent red with all black everything is truly a sight to behold. The black liners and lockbar look great. It is perfect in every way.
Fit, finish, lockup, etc. The slim G10 makes this delica a nice lightweight, yet sturdy small little slicer. Just an all around great knife. I definitely think they are worth the price of admission. I might even sell some of my other knives and buy a few more of these to put away to give to my sons later on for their first Spydies.

I seriously hope they do a G10 Dragonfly in this combo. Id be in for a few!

I said no to the red Persian, i said no to the red m390 pm2, I am saying no to this... Dangit I want a red spyderco so bad especially with a black blade but I don't really like the delica anymore (blasphemous). Hopefully one day there will be a red g10 native, para 3 or lil native

I'm hoping DLT does just what you suggest.

While I'm not a huge fan of the Delica/Endura (like me some 50/50 finger choil), I bought a couple of these in hopes other versions will be created. By other versions, I mean Dragonfly.

Unfortunately this one doesn't seem to be flying off the shelves. Based on where the "in stock" number was last week, it looks like only 25-30 have been sold.

Not surprising at almost 200 bucks.

I finally decided to order one with the coupon that they sent to me in email, but the coupon didn't work. So I'm skipping this one. At 170, I was having reservations. At 189... nah.

I don't think that the price is bad, or they're gouging, or anything like that. I just think that that money will provide a greater value elsewhere, and I'm not a "gotta have every Delica" kind of guy.

Looks like the first speculator has put one up on ebay. Buy it now for $260!

Is the backspacer plastic? If I recall, when I had the Pakkawood, it was metal.

Pretty sure it is some kind of plastic. It has a different texture to it. Not 100% sure though. But here’s a close up.

That would make sense as it felt noticeably lighter than the Pakkawood. I'll have to weigh them later.

I would be surprised if it's plastic but partly that's because my expectation is metal. I should have mine on Thursday so if no one can verify before then, I will.
