As some judge said years ago about what is obscene, “I’ll know it when I see it.”

In the meantime, I’m content to have the Glessers’ tempt me with their answers to this question. I sure don’t have the imagination to outdo them...

There might be a dozen different designs that Spyderco could do with collaborations.

- ESEE Junglass style machete in 3V
- Emerson style Karambit in M390
- Buck 119 style knife in S35VN
- Winkler / Jason Knight style Pathfinder knife in 4V

There are more EDC choices from Spyderco than I could ever ask for, so I'll go with something more specialized.

A DIR-compliant dive knife. Something small, SE H1, sheepfoot, that can comfortably be worn in front of the body on the waist strap. I guess I'm pretty much describing a slimmer and thinner version of the Enuff with a specially designed sheath...

Most people I know use cheap ground-off steak knives or trauma shears, but they tend to rust and need constant replacing. H1 absolutely can't be beat for underwater use... it's too bad the market for serious divers who also happen to love knives probably amounts to ~10 people worldwide :p

A Spyderco version of Bob Lum’s All Rounder. Benchmade produced it as the Dejavoo but both companies have made versions of his folding tanto as well ...... so it might be possible.

Hey, new to the forum but there is one thing I can't understand. Why doesn't the military use a compression lock?
To me that would be the perfect knife, sort of a large PM2, but they just don't make it.

Seems odd, since the PM2 is probably the best folder out there (at a reasonable price).

Anybody know why? or if they will be making one?

American made g10 spydie with bd1.

A small folding carver with 3v or cru wear (or just bring the Bradley air back)

I'd like to see a Police in Pakkawood from KnifeCenter. I just think that could be a very attractive knife.

A titanium-slab/(steel lock face insert) PPT with standoffs (or radically lightened backspacer) and besides different color G10, also a variant with koa or ironwood non-locking side.

Dang! wish I'd thought of that...

which is to say, I'd buy that one without hesitation!

Though it would be hard times for my bank account if it dropped at the same time as a Ti/Elmax Urban!

And my contribution to this exercise in wishful thinking is: old pattern Titanium UKPK with CruWear.

Too many to list.
Manix BL in Cruwear (with or without liners)
Merlin w/ thin FFG blade (1.5mm stock), distal taper
Hossom remake(s) in CPM-3V
Calypso remake in solid Hap-40, Linerless polished G-10 or liners & contoured pakkawood.
Quoting myself because I missed one.

Caly 3.5 in SE. I have been carrying my SE 3" version for over a week now. Amazing how well this little baby cuts. Perhaps with a good 3/4" of PE at the tip. Maybe we could see this variant in the upcoming FRN model(s)
