Yeah, I just ordered as well. Couldn't resist the DLC M4. This will be my first DLC blade and I'm interested to see how the coating holds up.

I just got one too. I couldn't resist the Para 3 with M4 steel. But I'm still sweating-on a Smock.

Passing and thinking about getting rid of my other dlc m4, my love for non stainless steels has waned.

Welp, enjoy my money BHQ. Skipped the PM2 so kinda felt obligated to hop on this one. Excited for my first coated high carbon steel.
Re: DLC M4 Para 3 with Natural G-10
I picked up the Rivers Edge Para 3 with the flat dark earth PVD. I haven't been carrying it every day but it's holding up well so far.
Ultimately it will depend on how you use it. With the CTS-204P it has much better corrosion resistance than M4 so coating wear is less of a concern.

Same here. Just ordered one too
Re: DLC M4 Para 3 with Natural G-10
Passing on this,,, the DLC coating does not really protect from rust/corrosion as much as one thinks.
The DLC does slow down smooth open/close action due to increased friction from coating.
I really like the M4 steel and have two of the Para 3 in satin finish.

100% not an issue with either of my current ones, or three others I had previously.

No issues on my DLC M4 PM2 and Manix 2. Smooth as butter.
Re: DLC M4 Para 3 with Natural G-10
$30 for tracked shipping to Canada is more than in willing to pay, so that shut my order down today
Re: DLC M4 Para 3 with Natural G-10
I stand corrected on the DLC and friction,,, my experience is with the older delica/endura coated blade models.
My Para 3 from River's Edge with FDE coated CTS204 blade, is much better with Nano-oil in the washer area, not quite as smooth as satin blades.

As of 1:30 PM mountain time, they don't have these in stock. I placed my order at 10 AM, waited an hour, then drove an hour an a half to Bladehq, just to be told they don't have them yet. What a disappointing waste of time. I don't understand why they would show this knife in stock before they have them in their hands.

Definitely out of character for them as on the satin drop we had shipping notifications in just a couple hours after paying.

Dressed mine up yesterday with some black Micarta scales from RC Bladeworks. Feels and looks much better than natural G10! :)

Man, that sucks. Why didnt you call first? An hour and a half is a long time to drive without any notification that your order is ready.SSD_777 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 27, 2018 2:54 pmAs of 1:30 PM mountain time, they don't have these in stock.
