On a related note I really hope this is the start of more and more inlays. Maybe not full on spiderweb inlays but I'd love to see a nice clean bug inlay in various colors.

The more I look at that inlay, the less I like it. Would be fine without the metal web.

Agreed. Just a Spyderco Logo inlay would be much more interesting.

Any chance of a lefty version? I have the lefty PM2 and like it a lot but I can't see myself using a right handed version.

I respect Sal enough that I will go with “can’t say anything nice, say nothing at all”...was hoping for a very different forum knife

Hopefully I can snag one of these. It'll go great with the bug name tag.

This ones not for me. Didn't care for the inlay when I saw it today, and the price on top of that.

Man I would have really loved this knife if not for that inlay. A simple bug inlay would have been classier. The red and web kill it. I guess scale swap is an option

It sure how feasible it is, but it seems like with the varied responses to this knife that maybe a poll conducted by spyderco would give some good feedback on designs before going into production.

I'm not sure how I missed this, but, I'll join in saying that the metallic web should go. Hopefully Spyderco will hear its forum members and change the design.

That being said, even if it stays, I'm down for one!
More K390 and 10V, please.

I got the privilege of handling this knife on Saturday. The inlay made it stand out big time on the Spyder lineup of knives they had on the table no doubt. The S90V sweetens the deal for me. It was extra smooth on the open and close action.

I wonder if this knife has any deeper meaning. It's a very popular design from both father and son when the father seems to be taking a very deliberate course to step down and let his son start taking the mantle. It's also in a steel Sal has said is one of his favorites. Kind of a salute to Sal's efforts and ingenuity over the years and Eric's promising start and some idea of what could be in the future for spyderco.

This seems totally not aligned with anything people have been asking for and that's a little unusual for Spyderco and i have to believe there's meaning behind it.

I'd love for something to come out that's purely Sal and that offers a blatant, unabashed salute to him and his efforts now that he's kind of in the emeritus status.
