pacific salt serrations make for a great back scratcher. just be careful.

Now there's a use for it I've never thought of before!

Exactly, that's probably what I'd look like if I tried it. :D

I have some out of control burdock plants in my yard and needed to take a few out. The Sliverax was in my pocket, so that's what I used.

Work was well underway before I thought to take pics, but I did get a few. Made short work of this one:

Continuing to break it down to be mulched/composted:

I also used it to cut up some kitchen compost before I washed the blade, which included some squeezed limes and other stuff. It had a lot of gunk on it for about an hour I guess, but I was still a little surprised by the extent of the staining when I washed the blade.

A lot of spotting covering both sides:

No worries from my perspective, but thought it was interesting.

on S30V...that's surprising. Sure some Flitz would clean that right up though.

I was just using my Para 3/M390 to open some packages at work...ran into a sneaky staple under the packaging tape. Of course it slightly rolled the edge near the tip. Now that's going to bother me that it's like that for the next 6 hours until I can get home and fix it!

I cut up some steaks and chopped some garlic with my M4 native, I wanted to see what kind of a patina I could get. Ultimately it didn't turn out the way I wanted and there were some spots that were a little 'red' for my liking so I hit it with some flitz and it's good as new. I've never really forced a patina on a blade before, but I may go that way with this one. What will give it a nice blue patina?

I had a blueish hue on my Delica Pakkawood after cutting up some lemons and intentionally leaving the blade saturated in the juice for an hour or so.

Broke down some cardboard, opened up a tube of oragel for someone, cut some food up, and then cleared some overgrown foliage on a hiking trail. SE Pacific Salt did great at all tasks. The serrarions catch the stalks of plants when I use it to chop through them, it's great for keeping trails cleared.

Pac Salt SE: just took down some English Ivy off my back wall that was covered. It handled it with ease + washed right up. What a great knife.

Not really seeing any blues / patina on my M4 PM2.
More of a lighter gray. Mainly use corrosion x and swan mineral oil.

My super blue mule on the other hand: lots of apples, kitchen work, swan mineral oil.

I've always been fond of the "stab your knife balls deep into a mango and let it sit overnight" method. Never tried it with M4...here is an A2 blade I did earlier this year:

Been using my Manix 2 as a fidget toy lately, lol. Flicking it open and closed one handed, really helps build up the calluses on my thumb and index finger too. It was really stiff out of the box, not quite as smooth as my pm2, but it's getting there.

Mangos huh? I may have to try that. I think I saw someone get blue using mustard.

In Hawaii and just used my DF salt to cut up a few stalks of an aloe plant, then filleted it to apply aloe to my sunburn. Without a knife that would have been a major pain
