I designed the model to have maximum cutting edge and up close to the handle. No opportunity to have anything "hang up" in an emergency cut.

I'm having the darnedest time choosing between the leaf and the sheep.

I have decided on PE.

So normally I'd close a compression lock by letting the choil fall on my index finger (lefty). Is there enough space on the caribbean or am I going to be chopping myself up?
I did that specifically with one today (with my right hand). You can do it without a problem but you have to be conscious of moving your finger forward. There’s not as much room for safety as something like a Delica/endura. It’s more like dropping a Caly closed...do-able but you have to pay attention.

Go for the leaf! I love mine! That being said, choose which ever will fit your needs. :)

Soon we may see some videos of the Caribbean used to make fresh oceanic sushi? :)

I think you’d be "chopping yourself up."

That’s my middle finger in there. I can’t fit my index finger there.

No more liner locks. Lock backs and fixed blades are the only knives. Get rid of the weak. Our desire for steel is as our desire for gemstones, they are software to our bioelectric hardware.

Anyone else find the black parts of the scales to be slippery? I had this fly out of my hands several times while using the compression lock to flick open and closed . Something I do with every compression lock I own.Ive never actually had a knife fly out of my hands so a bit alarming . I pinched hard on the scales in that area while the knife was closed like i would to manipulate the lock and was able to very easily pull the knife out from between my fingers. In hand the grip of the scales dig in and 0 slip. I love the knife, but just wondering if its something I'm doing wrong? My main use for this is in my trunks in my kayak or at the pool. Add some water, sweat, and sunscreen and it may turn into a spyder thrower. Haha. Leaving on a positive note, this knife is as expected, extremely well built and very solid. The blade is very sharp and an absolute beast in the 24hrs ive had mine.
:bug-red-white I collect them all, and use them all! I use the excuse, "I'm trying to find the perfect one", but in reality, they are all perfect in their own way!

How big are your hands, S, M, L?
Just curious. Handle looks wide smaller hands.

S/M it is a wide handle, but its just when i pinch it to manipulate the lock. The raised black lines are smooth. No grip at all to them. Vertical is fine grip wise..its just horizontally when i go to flick it open.

It should also make a great spearfishing knife.

I am interested to read feedback from Naval and Coast Guard personell about their experiences with the Caribbean as it gets out there in the field and sea.

Interesting to hear this knife is a little slippery... that’s unexpected.

What do you think they pay in the Navy or Coast Guard to enable them to buy $165 pocket knives? This knife is firmly in the enthusiast pricing tier.

If I remember correctly the orange Autonomy was built specifically for the CG so they must have the budget for some premium knives.

I think the leaf blade looks like a great user. I was thinking of the plain edge, but after seeing pictures of the Spyderedge, I am having second thoughts.
