House of blades has some hard to find knives, I found an urban k390 not long ago.

This would make a fun run for the XL too, IMO.

I don't need it. I don't need it.

Debated hard one drunken night on this knife and the BHQ Manix/DLC/M4. Being a big fan of M4 I of course opted for the BHQ...when I'm yet to own a knife in 52100. Stupid Lagunitas IPA clouded my judgement and has left me with a bit of buyers remorse, especially when seeing this thread.

The Manix ergonomics do not work for my hands at all but the beauty of this thing is making me want to buy it anyway. :spyder:

Really?? I'm sorry to hear that! Of all my knives, the Manix is arguably the best fitting knife in my hand. Always wanted a Frankenstein knife of a Manix handle with a PM2 blade shape, as that leaf shape is just too bulky for me.

I'm still mad that I didn't grab a 52100 Military when they were out, so I would LOVE to see a Military in this Gray/DLC 52100 combo. A Native in this combo would be amazing as well. I really hope they both of those.
Now that I've discovered the Para 3 i'm goin to need one of those in this combo as well. :)

Steels on the these other guys aren’t 52100, but at least these give you a visual...

the 52100 sprints are really nice. The Manix is too bulky for me but I hope it makes it way to one of the smaller, non-locking models to compliment my PM2.

I love the Manix. That 52100 steel amazes me with how easy it is to put a great edge on.
And this is one of the most attractive knives I own. No regrets from me.
Almost too pretty to be a real user, but all of my knives are ultimately.

Yeah, this is an outstanding combo. I like this much better than the Peel Ply Carbon Fiber sprints. This one looks MUCH better, is cheaper (G10 vs CF), and the DLC probably offers a small level of corrosion resistance even if that is not what it is for. I really hope this one makes it to the Mille, Native, Native LW, and Para 3. I'd buy one of each. Still planning on grabbing this Manix at some point. I need to thin out my current collection first though.

Very nicely done...looks fantastic. I'm wanting to do similar swaps with black blade/screws on the blurple G10 Para 3 ,PM2 , and Manix .RadioactiveSpyder wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 11:08 pmSteels on the these other guys aren’t 52100, but at least these give you a visual...

Please post pics when you do! I also want to see some people swap some DLC blades and hardware onto the Rex45 scales! I really wish Spyderco offered DLC as an option on their popular models in the way BHQ ran the Manix, PM2, and Para 3 with both options. They could have done an additional 1200 each of the Rex45 in DLC and would have had no problem selling those. DLC on the S110V models would be awesome as well.

Thanks for the great pics everyone! Mine is still in the box. Saving it for a special day of some kind.
So true. And the XL is looooong overdue for a sprint or exclusive.

Finally got around to ordering one of these. Can't wait! Again, I really hope this combo makes it to the Mille, Native, Native LW, and Para 3. That dark grey with black is super classy looking. And 52100 is a fantastic steel...one of the best. C'mon Knifeworks! :)
