They could've even gone linerless!
True, especially on such a small knife.

Hi Sal and Spyderfans!

I’ve been lurking for years around here, since 2000, with a login since 2012, and only now decided to post.

Because the Brouwer seems to be my dream knife! Over the decades I’ve alternated between many models: Calypso Jr., Dragonfly, Delica, Lil Temperance, Caly 3, Para 3, Manix, UKPK, Urban, Cricket, and more whose names are lost to memory. But I always wanted something reminiscent of the old school Spyderco Terzuolas. Or a Sebenza. Clearly the three all have differences, but the Brouwer looks like it will fill that hole in my collection.

I’m so impatient, I had to finally come out of my shell and make a post.

To find out: is it coming soon?

:D

Well I preordered it from Amazon since they have a listing for it. I figure if it pops up somewhere else sooner I can cancel at Amazon. Or just get two!

Not sure if this is true or not but someone in one of the Spyderco FB groups just announced that they've seen the Brouwer available at some dealers in Europe.

True: it's in stock now. European price, though :(

A French site, "Coutellerie Tourangelle". I'm not sure posting the link here would be appropriate (or even allowed), but Google is your friend ;)

It does say they have it but I've also had them screw up orders before where I was told that something that I ordered (which said available) and paid for a week earlier actually wasn't in stock at all..
So they are capable of making mistakes. ;)

I bought knives from Tourangelle before without any issues

Since I got my Caribbean before zee americaines I presume they have it in stock, Spyderco seems to send some models earlier to European dealers

Looks good, too bad Spyderco vomited that pocket clip on the titanium scale, it looks like at least 3 cm outside of the pocket

Well I couldn’t resist and just used the camp saver coupon and placed my order. $140 for this seems perfectly priced, it might just kick my current favorite Benchmade 698 out of my pocket.

Yep. Me too! Switched my preorder from amazon to campsaver. $140 is a great deal. And it appears to be around the corner since it’s shipping to collectors apparently.

When the new catalog came out, this knife was the one I wanted most. Looked fantastic as a real EDC. I said I was definitely going to buy this one, but I probably would have wait quite a while to actually pull the trigger once it was available. However, this 20% off and the timing were too good to pass on, so I'm official in! I don't think this counts as impulse buying does it?
