Didn’t Sal say the first LC200N Pacific Salts would use the current Pacific Salt/e3 handle?
He did and that they would be in simultaneous production for a while. I personally love the Endura4 handle, fits me like it was custom measured for my hand.

David, out of curiosity where do you put your first two fingers on the E4 handle?

Just so happens my ZDP189 Endura is in my pocket now, but I'm not sure I've figured out imugr yet....

Frick! Finally figured imugr out!

Thanks. That's how I figured it was designed to be used, but I found the handle wasn't spacious enough for me to grip it that way (XXL hands).

After modding a Pacific Salt I can say the Endura 3 grip shape with a choil works a lot better for me. The Endura 4 either feels cramped or clumsy depending on where I grip, never feels right like the E3 handle in the regular grip.

blueblur wrote:C9, that is also how I grip the E4. If I don’t need as forward of a grip I can also slide my grip back so my ring finger and pinky are both in the rear most area which allows my pointer and middle fingers to line up in the other “grooves”. I have small hands but can take advantage of 2 different grips comfortably.
The further back grip is nice for certain tasks, but feels a little too forward balanced for general use. I like the Police 3 for similar reasons though. Choil, behind the choil, and further back are all viable grips for me.

I'd buy five and never buy another single blade folding knife :)

Thanks for the heads up!

Then, I just hope the Waterway comes out before summer.

Given the differences in LC200N vs H1, is there any chance that we will see a Pacific Salt combo edge offering in the future?
The question came up during a recent fishing trip with people that carry Salt series knives daily when I mentioned the upcoming LC200N knife.
Support Knife Rights. https://kniferights.org/

Don't buy knives from EBAY or AMAZON. There are plenty of good companies that will appreciate your business and don't sell fakes.

cabfrank wrote:LC PE is reported to be much better in edge retention, and can be FFG. I don't think it will be as good as H1 in Spyderedge retention. It is probably not QUITE as rustproof as H1, but still excellent, and we may not know for sure for a while.
I'd guess it won't be as easy to get a razor edge with LC PE as it is with H1 PE, because nothing I've used gets a razor edge that easily, but it will hold that edge longer, from what I've read. I'm a huge H1 fan, and haven't tried LC yet, so for me, without knowing, I'd still prefer H1 in both configurations. The general consensus though, is H1 is probably a higher performance SE steel, and the LC is higher performance in PE.
I'm wondering if eventually all Salts are produced with LC200N in PE and H1 is SE? If they are both champions in their respective edge, that would probably make sense. I really enjoy the H1 serrated models and would be sad to see them go if the performance of LC200N in SE is not as good.

The steel is shipped to Golden from Europe, then shipped to Japan from Golden.

So this opens the door for a DF2 in PE LC200N? Maybe black FRN / black blade??? Would love to see this!

No formal information yet from sal but he kind of hinted once or twice that it was currently in the works a few months ago.
