...a Manix 2 K390, on which I would install Cuscadi antique olive drab micarta "Dr Jones" scales.
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod

I have wanted to see a modern sobuster from Spyderco for ages and ages. In G10 and VG10 to be exact. For a time I was a bore on the subject and then just gave up hoping. Doesn’t fit the general scope of the company I think

Anyway

Boker just made it ... The Slack. So I don’t have to hope no more :)

A sprint run of the hossom fixed blades.

And my oft-requested R sprint.

The PPT discussion also reminded me that I think they should really do the design justice in full Ti. As it is, the steel scales just make it so darn heavy. I’d like to see a Ti lock side with the sculpted CF overlay, and a fully sculpted Ti presentation side. I know it would have an eye-watering price tag, and would require more effort than the typical sprint, but it would be truly unique in the lineup.

Can you define what a sodbuster is? For all practical purposes and in my mind spyderco makes a lot of them. Basically all of them, really. Unless you're talking about a cheap throwdown knife but then opinel has that covered quite well. And if you want a spyderco knife without a hole in it then good luck, i don't think it will happen

That's a really fine collection of Manix 2 LW blades congratulations. The Manix 2 backlock is a special member of the family that you might want to check out.

+1 on the R sprint, maybe smooth CF, thin G-10, or even Ti Damascus or some other blade steel.

I wish Spyderco would make a basic Bob Lum Chinese folder, not the big one, but the mid-sized one, with a decent steel like VG-10 or equivalent, and G10 scales. Why, because along with the PM2 it is my most sought after Spyderco and many of us could probably afford that model.

..Native 6:

- compression lock
- G10 scales w/ recessed and skeletonized liners, open back
- S35VN or better

I usually carry a Para 3 for its features, but I like the overall shape of the Native 5 more. :)

This^^

It's probably frowned upon to post just "This^^", so I figure I'll post this part to make up for it. :spyder:

Since we're wishing:

Spydie chef with LC200N frame, internally or fully skeletonized to reduce weight; all LC200N hardware. If that's possible, that would prevent the galvanic corrosion issue, correct?

Also, Domino and Dice with washers instead of bearings, solid CF scale instead of G10/CF laminate, deep carry pocket clip from the factory, and LC200N, Elmax, or M390 blade.

The new Brouwer (if it has washers) in a sprint run with solid CF scale plus an even higher end steel than the base S30V would move that model from want to buy to must buy. A longer blade Brouwer which preserves the short blade height would also be awesome.
