I'm sort of indifferent about it. It doesn't bother me enough that I'm **** bent on a replacement, but I also wouldn't mind if it wasn't there at all either. My biggest reason to send it in would be to make them aware of it and/or let them decide exactly what caused it and if it's something they're missing in QC.

To be honest I'm a little hesitant to even accept an exchange, as the pivot and lock are the best I've ever seen on a Military and I haven't had to adjust a single screw yet and it's still perfect.

the pivot and lock on the s110v paraMilli are top notch as well. They seemed to have put extra effort into making the s110v line perfect. Which makes me doubt they missed something in QC. but who knows.

Hmm. short answer. No.

The markings haven't worsened any, I suspect it may just be an artifact of the factory bevel grinding that is showing through after light polishing/stropping as some have suggested. It doesn't seem to be corrosion. It's not really hurting anything as far as I can tell, no one from spyderco weighed in on the subject, so I guess it's not a known issue. I just let it go.
