The Para 3 is probably the best knife on the market for my hand. I really like the Paramilitary 2 a lot but it is a little big. Great for a knife fight though. :)
Can you find it and can it cut?

Upsellers. Find the source seller before you go to eBay. I recently listed a source for Maxamet Para 3s but no one cares.

Hi Crux, I was actually referring to the exact seller that Ferider quoted and their price. It was belote on ebay. I found their store and no way there was a para 3 @ $139.72 and no Maxamet to be found.

Can you PM me the Maxamet source for the PM3 please mate.

cheers

There're gone. It was a Amazon private seller who had 20 of them. I got one for $186 but then the price went up. Then another one sold and it went up until it stopped at $205. It must have been a dealer because he never sold them above what Spyderco dealers sell them for.

I snagged one of the Amazon Maxamet PM3's for $205. Extra $20 over typical best price. No complaints based on availability. Given my experience with a mule and Native 5, knew I would like the steel. What I did not know and has been a surprise is that I really like the Para 3. Feels like a stubby Para 2 in a good way. Great EDC.

More Maxamet para 3's available for people in the EU. They had 2 but i snagged one, so one left.

Looks like Spyderco is producing some again, but in low quantities.

Got my BBS blue M390 a week ago, and its been my go to EDC since. Very happy with my sample which shows itself, as an all around quality build from Spyderco. Having been a former Para 2 enthusiast, I wasn't too surprised at the great ergonomics of the 3.

This of course raises the question of whether my next Spydie will be a return to the Para 2, hahaha.

^^ I'm in the same boat. Bought PM2 first, loved it and got a 2nd. Decided I wanted to try a Para 3, loved it even more, bought 3 more with a 4th on the way sometime next week if I can snag a StNicks exclusive tomorrow. Makes me think I need to start evening this out and get another PM2 next!

I got into the p3 first and loved it; pm2 came second and I like it really well, but I think the p3 wins for me. I “only” have two of each....

I no longer have any PM2 and my Para 3 collection continues to grow. I have a Maxamet, Cruwear, S110V, and Rex45, and Ill grab a 4V tomorrow. I still need to grab a DLC M4 as well. And the Cutlery Shoppe DLC CTS-XHP exclusive is supposed to come out in early 2019.

The Para 3 is really growong on me. It is taking away EDC time from my Natives, which I didnt expect. And it is more fun to play with (middle finger flick) than the Native, although its probably a matter of time before I seriously cut myself and need stiches trying to flick it.

I love the Para 3 and is the only knife I intend to seriously buy going forward, but the PM2 is worth having and I have several. If I had bigger hands it's the only knife I'd buy and I would rather have a 2 than 3 in a knife fight, not that I plan on being in one.

At first I just couldn't get past the stubby blade shape, but when some well meaning enabler posted a 20% off code for Campsaver I decided an S110V Para 3 would be worth trying at a few dollars less than the base model.

Now that I have actually used one I have to say that the ergonomics are fantastic and it really does look better in person than in product shots.

Unfortunately this means one more platform to be tempted by when Sprints and exclusives come up
