Did they shut down the roads yet? :p :D

I went from living near the northern US border to the southern edge, and it tickles the hell out of me seeing how cities down here react to snow.

Yeah it always makes me laugh when it's 80 or 90 degrees F in the north and people start crying about how's its so hot :D. The north has ample ice treating/snow clearing road equipment and experienced operators, the south does not. For example it is common practice to apply sand to the roads down here in preparation for ice bc the salt/salt solution runs out fast bc we don't have much. Plus everyone in Texas drives like a bat out of hell anyways! :p

When I was home in the NW Chicago suburbs this summer the temps went from the mid 80s to mid 90s. That doesn't seem so bad compared to summer temps in N. TX but I had forgotten how humid it gets there. Nothing like getting into a hot car and having your sunglasses fog up. You have to run the AC for a few min just so you can see to drive.

Yesterday morning one of my brothers sent me a text with a pic of the first snow up there. I laughed and told him that we're having scary freeze warnings here. The natives from the south have no idea of what real cold temps actually feel like. Winter is a picnic here compared to the north. I told my bro I've been looking forward to seeing an actual snow fall or ice storm here in DFW. The way people drive here there's bound to be some carnage on the expressways.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

Awesome, thanks! Nice shot of the Sage. Two similarly sized knives. It was a week of the 3" blade.

Live in southern AZ. Here's a quote from a local news website last year: "The hottest day ever recorded was June 26, 1990 (at 117 degrees); the second-hottest was 116 degrees on June 29, 1994. Today, June 20, it hit 116 at 3:56 p.m."

Temperatures like that are rare, but it commonly gets to about 112-113 during the summer. If I had to move somewhere with snow I'd probably die. :p
