Thanks over the holidays I have some time off and I am going to be going over my collection and rooting out the keepers from the okay I need to sell some of these to make up for recent purchases.

I tend to buy a backup of a knife if I really like it (For example the recent purchase from Knife works for the CF TI Millies, It is such a sweet design People really should scoop these up while they last, the G-10 Millie's are just not the same, don't get me wrong the g10 Millies are excellent but the CF TI versions are really smooth and have a substantial feeling in the hand and the RIL Frame lock is really well tensioned and designed for smooth lockup.)

I know for certain I have some back up knives like the Paramilitary 2 in M390 and a Para 3 In M390 that are going on the bay for sale, probably the Paramilitary 2 in 52100 and an older military fully serrated I sent in for spa treatment to Spyderco and perhaps a brand new Hungarian.

One of the knives I am really looking forward to that are coming in is the Stretch2 I read how Sal influenced it's design and am really interested in finding out about VG-10 now that my super stainless high carbide curiosity has been sated for a while at least.

Mama Mia! Looks like I manged to get close to the last one again. The Knife Works Exclusive TI CF Military is no longer showing on their site! Looks like buying my back up like I did with the CTS-204P version was just in time glad I did not hesitate! This also happened when I got the second STC-204P Millie!

Just looked responding to someone looking for the CTS-204P Paramilitary2 Guys if you missed out on the Paramilitary2 M390 then get the CTS-204P the steel is nearly identical and I actually favor it over M390.

I really think i'm going to love it to, after carrying the ukpk drop point i fell in love with the bladeshape and ergos, and the stretch 2 have the same bladeshape and looks like it has somewhat the same ergos Just a bit bigger.
Are you going to Carry the caribbians as a pair,?
They are on my list for next years work knives, caribbian pe and se sheepsfoot,,,, or leaf,, i can't decide

Bingo. No longer new or exotic, just gettin it done. Same could be said for 154cm & s30v. I have my own prejudices and preferences there, but I don’t think anyone would say they are “inferior” so much as “old news”. But they work.

I wonder what would happen if these steels were re-released with new and fancy sounding names... would they quickly be found out, or would they be met with acclaim?

I have used it for breaking down cardboard, Breaking down a chicken ( Can See why People would like this for skinning ) Cutting a stick of butter Whoo Hoo big challenge there, Cutting cloths tag ties, and that's about it for now it has remained very factory sharp and I was impressed how it wanted to bite into the chicken bones so I ripped through the rib cage and cartilage with no ill effect to the blade.

Afterwards I left it wet for a while to see what would happen and nothing did.

So far I am challenged to see why anyone would choose S30V over this steel.

Something else I noticed is Spyderco uses a larger bevel on this thin blade and I think that helps make it a superior slicer to lets say my CF sage5 for example.
