The sharpmaker works well on recurves.

I’m not worried about the recurve; that’s a lot of belly and radius!

It’s definitely a fun knife. It’s action is smooth as silk, the blade swings shut because it’s so heavy. The grind on mine isn’t the greatest, but I’m trying to not let it bug me. My OCD when it comes to stuff like that is pretty extreme. Nice finishing everywhere else. The width of the scales/handle is actually very comfortable. No hot spots that I can find either. The things a pocket hog though.
What I’m really impressed with is how they got the liners and the backspacer to be so flush. I thought that was a difficult thing to do when you can’t simply grind down the spine once it’s assembled (like a backlock).
Great job Spyderco.
I’ve yet to put it to use, only been home for a bit.

It's definitely an eye catcher. I'm going to try to handle one at New Graham next time I take a road trip up to PA. The ergos look very nice.Liquid Cobra wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:15 pmIt’s definitely a fun knife. It’s action is smooth as silk, the blade swings shut because it’s so heavy. double post

It just doesn’t look like the handle can actually hide the tip and belly on that monster. How big is it really? Is the clip the same size as a military?

Salty today... lots of boxes to break down and I'll be danged if the Pacific Salt is not improving with use. Such a strange steel.
When it comes to ease of slicing with less effort however the edge goes to the Caribbean. The belly with SE is a superior performer to the Straight bladed Pacific SE.
The Pacific would come out of the cut on double walled cardboard and ride the surface. The Caribbean remained locked in. Both are incredible and there is no appreciable difference between FFG and Saber Grind.

Been lurking for a while, figured I’d finally join. First post had to be my most recent purchase. I thought the Dice was my favorite until I got this thing!
