What happened to the one on the left?

My first Spyderco in pocket this evening. A number of years and a dozen or so other Spydies later and this one still sees a lot of action.
If you're wielding the sharpest tool in the shed, who's going to say that you aren't...?

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I've been doing a random drawing every week to decide my EDC. I line up all my Spyderco knives (10) and draw a number from a bowl of paper slips. The number that is drawn is the knife I EDC, exclusively, for the next week.
It's fun, makes things different and forces me to really use all of my Spyders. Last week was the Advocate, this week it's the Native 5 Maxamet.
Not sure what will be next, but I'm kinda looking forward to EDC'ing nothing but a Manbug for a whole week and seeing how that goes. :)

The newly-arrived Native Max. I waited too long to get one, but now that I did, at least I've got a killer steel!
Despite the blade's hardness, it only took a few minutes to put a finely-honed micro bevel on it, thanks to the excellent factory edge.
Now it's screaming sharp and ready for many weeks' worth of uninterrupted cutting.

When folks pointed out the similarities between my custom fixed blade design and the large TDI, I decided to give one a shot. Traded a pre-need back-up for it and a Street Bowie. Rebar, Police or Pacific Salt, and TDI has been a fun combo. Besides being an overly thick saber grind, I really like the TDI for utility. I think the extreme negative angle is something that should be explored further in more utility oriented designs.

Finally got a new phone, I can take pictures again! :D
Just finished reprofiling the Shaman to the 30° slots on the Sharpmaker. I think I'm getting the hang of it. I was finally able to get it hair whittling sharp on just the diamond and brown stones. I marveled at that for a bit then finished with the fine, ultra fine, and 1 micron dmt paste on leather :D

Was finally able to finish my Deep short clip conversion on my Delica today. It now beats out the Bugout for my goto knife. Had to beat the Delica

Finally finished my deep carry shorty conversion today. Hard to beat the Delica. Now I just need some G-10 for it.
