Thanks! I made a double recipe of beef stew (4# beef and accompanying veggies) and used only this Caly for the task of cutting. The above photo was before I finished.

I will be posting more photos in the future, but, for now, here's a couple shots in better lighting:

That's the kind of patina I always want but never seem to pull off. Looks good.

Thanks!

I just cut foodstuffs, and voila! The interesting thing is that if I rub any oil on it, the surface turns grey. If I then clean off any oils, the patina shows. Perhaps you can try degreasing your patinas to reveal their true colors.

In pockets this past week were the Cutlery Shoppe Orange Manix 2 in S90V & Military in S110V; on my shoulder was the South Fork (easily accessible on my backpack) :spyder:

I've been carrying my PE Salt 1 quite a bit lately. H1 PE is great stuff if you aren't obsessed with wear resistance.

Been carrying it for years. It's a great little knife and probably my second most carried knife. The S35VN holds up well in everyday cutting and handles harder abusive task. I've cut metal cans with it before and it still cuts rope after. Pretty easy to fix too. It's my beater knife and just doesn't quit. Not sure why they switched it to S30V.
