Did you give or receive a Spydie this holiday?

Happy holidays all,

Nice to see this forum here -- this is my 2nd post, following the one in the holiday give-away thread.

I feel a little grinch-like for wanting a freebee as my first post here, so I just want to note that I gave two Spydies this season. One was a 204 Sharpmaker I gave to my mother as a Xmas present. The other was my old Delica, which I gave to the volunteer coordinator for food distribution to the homeless, at the Nishi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in downtown Los Angeles this season. The fellow was having a hard time popping open boxes, so I gave him my Delica and Leatherman PST II after volunteering a few hours last week.

Best wishes and blessings for the season --

Glen

Hi Storyville. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.

There's lots of "Freebees" here besides the contest. Best place to get information about Spyderco; company, products, people, philosophies, etc.

Even on controversial issues, we pick away until truth is uncovered...for free.

We are civil here...also free.

So much for so little....

just kidding. Thanx for visitin'.

Nice thing you did on the "giving" end.

My wife is the new proud owner of a plain edge SpyderCard (ended up buying one for myself as well). We both love it. It's the fourth Spydie I give her so far.

I've spent the day reading up on all of your stories about the amazing spyder co. knives you have, I hope to be able to add to this forum and learn from you guys. Thanks, Rex

Gave my son a full-size Calypso.

I liked the feel, looks, fit and finish so well that I ordered one for myself.

I'm curious about why this knife is discontinued.

Lots of freebees here, indeed, Sal!

Thanks to you and the whole Spyderco crew for them all, and more.

Best wishes and blessings for the rest of this year, and the next --

I did, I did. Actually both. I ordered myself one of the new Vieles and my best friend couldn't keep his hands off it so I bought him one as a Christmas present. And guess what he bought me a Spyderco I didn't have. (hard to believe) He got me a Catcherman, nice knife. All in all a good christmas. Wish all a happy new year.

Hello. This is my first posting here. I recieved a new one this Christmas. I got a Delica with the 50/50 edge. I had one that was stolen a while back; I carried that one every day for over two years. This is my favorite knife ever, and the new metal clip and ATS-55 blade make it even better. Happy Holidays.

Yep, sure did! Gave my son a Tim Zowada. Hard to find ones he, or I, don't have! The Zowada is a beautiful knife...

Recieved a DRagonfly II for Christmas, that was my first spydie. Two weeks have passed and I already have a Native II on the way; I am also looking at the calypso jr., co-pilot & spydercard to name a few. I think it's safe to say I'm sold on spyderco's.

Happy Holidays to all.

What an interesting question. This is the first Christmas in several that I didn't give Spyderco for Christmas. I think my son was in shock....He has gotten into the habit of expecting a new model each year. I actually thought about getting him one of the Mother of Pearl Natives but knew he would carry it and didn't want him to lose it at college. (I did get both of them for myself.) With Spyderco, it feels like Christmas all year long every time a new model shows up at my door.

Blessings to you all for the new year.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

This is my first time writing this forum and let me say that it's awesome to see how many people appreciate and use Spyderco Knives.

My father-in-law and I have a special relationship and this Christmas I gave him an Endura II metal handled knife. My parents operate a jewelry store and we have expert engravers in the family so I had my father-in-laws full name engraved on the handle of the knife. He didn't have many gifts this Christmas so I believe this gift was a real treat for him.
Needless to say he loved it! He not only appreciated the beauty of it but the total functionality of it as well.

Spyderco metal handles are perfect for engraving and embellishment. I'm definately gonna do this more often!!

Take Care Everyone . . .

Nate
