Ooops! Sorry about the topic blunder... What I meant was : Where'd you put your ladybug? *hee-hee!*

I got two of these 'lil spydies today and THEY ROCK! Had a red one on my key chain and a blue one on my scooter keys! Where'd you place them?

Sam,

I don't own a Ladybug but I gave one to my wife last Christmas. This is a lady who had never carried a knife and said she didn't need one. Now the blue Ladybug goes everywhere with her on her keyring and has been used for everything from opening packages and cutting threads to making peanut butter sandwiches!!!! BTW it is the fastest opening knife I know, just grab the hole and let the weight of the keys open the knife .

Sam,

I haven't bought any knives locally. The shops here only have the cheaper models i.e. Endura, Delica etc. and I have expensive tastes . Also they end up costing a lot more than I can buy them for on the net. It's a problem, I know, because people like me will probably spell the end of local distribution, but then I would never have got as involved in Spydies as I have if I had to rely on the local shops. BTW our exchange rate is just under US$0.60 so that will give you an idea of my costs when I buy in US dollars.

Amazing! You must have gotten a whole load of custom-collaborated spydies Clay! I have to pay four times the cost for those critters here in Malaysia! Does it cost more with postage to Australia? I think the UPS or FEDEX charges are exhorbitant!

Sam,

I prefer to use the postal service rather than UPS. It's not quite as expensive and has proven very reliable at least to this country, I know others have not been so lucky. Also I haven't had to pay Customs duty on any packages coming by mail but UPS has a bad habit of submitting every package to Customs for assessment. The Moki Evrina, on which Sal did me such a great deal, has disappeared in transit but I've finally tracked it down to Customs. I think they thought it was real ivory, but I persuaded them to release it. Still not sure if I'm going to have to pay duty on it . BTW I don't have a huge collection but I've been lucky, had some nice Spydies given to me and got some good close-out prices on discontiued models. I have 2 young children with one more on the way so my knife budget is strctly limited.

More kids and a growing knife collection... Hmmmm.... Hang in there mate! Guess I'll take you recommendations on the snail-mail services! If I ever head down-under, I'll make it a mission to check you spydies!

Cheers!
