Sal, reading in the forum, I think you said that you are a straight razor user? I was wondering if Spyderco has any ideas on the drawing board for a straight razor? With the advent of technology (Mach 3 Turbo ect.), the art form of straight shaving is...
Must say, the Toad is an ugly lil' thing, but it came in extremely handy for cutting out templates for some projects the other night...on tracing paper no less! The short stout blade and longer handle really did the trick, as my Delica had some...
looked like the Jester or Ladybug..same size and blade design...but it had a carbon fiber handle?(smooth but checkered underneath dark brown/reddish color)
Today, I got the urge to try out a fixed blade for EDC. The problem is....I don't have one. Sooooo, within the next couple of weeks, I plan on ordering a Ronin and using it for my EDC.
What I'm curious to know is....is it comfortable for vertical belt...
I noticed on my new Calypso Jr. that if you catch the light right it almost looks like there is a wave pattern in the steel. Is this intentional or just a natural part of the grinding process?
first pic is blade, second pic is 100% crop closeup....
OK I know how to make them but have seen pics of the loose end going back into the knot??? What am I doing wrong or not finishing? I make the knot but then have two ends coming out of it. In a pic I saw no visible ends. What gives??? Thanks and Take...
I've done the bone head move and snapped off about 3/8 of the blade. DOH! I've emailed Spyderco asking about a new blade and got a polite email back (albeit about 2 weeks later) saying they will replace it, but no price. Anyone have an idea?
While checking through my Spyder collection I'm always playing w/ my PE Worker more than others. It brings back fond memories of comments like, What the **** happenend to your knife? (Wish I had my Diver back then!)It had a short EDC life...
