Re: Which model has impacted your preferences the most?
Dragonfly Salt with serrated H1. That knife gave me a love for the serrated edge and the simplicity of a linerless, washerless, plastic handled knife.

Re: One of Sal's Finest Creations
Question for the Cricket crowd. Is the knife supposed to have double washers on one side of the blade? When I took mine down, there were two washers on one side and only one washer on the other. Is this standard or was an extra washer stuck in there by accident? I actually didn’t even see which side...

Re: One of Sal's Finest Creations
Aaaaaaannnnnnnnd I'm back! Pulled it apart just now and used a coleman propane torch to heat anodize the scales. Oddly only the lock side changed color. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51946906582_0cc1c8b53d_c.jpg Untitled by Six Pound Cat , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51947957...

Re: One of Sal's Finest Creations
Wow you really are sold on them! My first impressions are super positive. Well built, great action, super ergonomic, (for me but I love small knives) and I'm enjoying getting to know a new blade shape that I've never tried before. Also nice to mix it up lock wise as I typically carry a backpack. I p...

Mine is arriving today. I ended up going with teeth at the last second. Excited to see how I like it.

Re: One of Sal's Finest Creations
Glad I found this thread as I was about to start a new one. Rather continue on here. Anyway I’ve recently become entranced by the Cricket and I’m close to pulling the trigger. I’m a Dragonfly junky and have been carrying a serrated D’Fly salt almost exclusively for a while now. Knives without teeth ...

Re: FRN Strength / Durability
This is a great article that addresses what Sal said here. https://blademag.com/knife-collecting/how-the-gerber-lst-changed-pocketknives-forever/amp Hi deadforests, FRN, originally introduced into the knife industry by Blackie Collins when he designed for Gerber, was one of the great advancements in...

Re: FRN Strength / Durability
That doesn't sound like crazy talk to me. It sounds like an amazing idea! I suggest buying that brown Delica and putting everything else away for a while. You may find that you're knife nut/knife minimalist at the same time. :) Great story by the way. Before it magically disappeared, I had a brown d...

Re: dragonfly bottom of pocket carry
I tried it for a day or so when I was using the wire clip on my Manbug. Didn't keep the screws on and no need to. I love the feel of the Dragonfly without the clip but my thought at the time was that it was a bit large for bottom of the pocket carry. I'm sure I could get used to it but I typically k...

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..
Hey! I used gray Rit Dye, the powdered kind, and literally dipped it in there for 5 seconds at a time. I knew it would go quick so I would dunk in the dye, pull, rinse in cold water, and repeat. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51888523367_4c478b3985_c.jpg Untitled by Six Pound Cat , on Flickr ht...

Re: A question for Mr Glesser and Spyderco (Clipped Manbug)
Tried giving it another go but turns out I didn't get the clip placement just right so it's not holding as securely as I had first thought. If it held securely and had a smooth spot where the clip contacted the FRN I think it would be fine, but it sounds like if Sal and company end up adding a clip ...

Re: A question for Mr Glesser and Spyderco (Clipped Manbug)
Should work on a Ladybug too, absolutely. Whether you like it or not will be the question. I have quickly decided the clip belongs on the Dragonfly and not, (for me) on the Manbug. BUT! Having said that, it is quite the cool and quirky little pocket knife that I will continue to mess with and modify...
