Re: Spyderrazor
It would be interesting a handle with interchangeable blades with Superblue and Vanax 35/ Nitro V-B blades, but I think it's going a little further

Re: Spyderrazor
Seems there is some interest in a spyderco straight razor. I was thinking of making a poll but there are a lot of things going on that wouldn't fit into a poll. Sal said he'd like to hear from us so i tried to assemble some questions that could/would lead him to pull the trigger on this. 1) Do you ...

Re: BD1N Steel: Are there size limits for blades?
I have seen Zdp189 and Hap72 bowies therefore i don't think that you cannot make a large BD1N big blade.
i would understand more a BD1N chopper than a Vanadis 4/CPM 4V one.

Re: The Spyderrazor
It's obvious that when someone speaks about razors he's talking about Superblue, 52100, AebL and similar.
I would be truly interested to se a mirror polished White steel razor at maximum hardness, like a honyaki.

Re: Do you modify the edge angles on your knives?
I zero grind all my high carbide steels knives so they can cut things even when they have an edge similar to a ball bearing.
Obviously the low carbide steels are already zero grounded

If you know that you will lose your knife buy some 1.4116 Cold Steel's
They are inexpensive but they perform supergood for the price and are near unbreakable.

Re: "Domestic Chauvanism"?
Other than me not liking flippers in general what is wrong with Sleipner in a flipper of folder? It's a good steel in the D2 up to Cruwear area performance wise. I saw some Italian S125V folders but not razors. That would be very strange. Likewise a M390 chopper. I remember Farid making a chopper o...

Re: "Domestic Chauvanism"?
There's a huge halo of disinformation in the world of Italian cutlery; most makers make things mechanistically, different makers I spoke to don't understand temper of the steels and they make it only "because if you don't temper steels they become a piece of glass" Countless times I saw s...
