Re: 2024 Official Discontinued List
I, too, am curious to see what new models will appear after all this manufacturing capacity has been freed up. And I'm VERY glad that I was able to grab a CQI Paysan in the drop back in March.

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores
The notches on this latest batch of seconds must be absolutely miniscule. I can't even see them on most of the pics that have been posted.

Re: Subvert Sprint CF/20CV!
Fans of this knife: What use would you put it to? What niche does it cover? I, honestly, don't have much actual use, or need, for any knife I buy lately. My daily carry is a small micarta Sebenza 21, and it does anything I need in my typical environment (office during the week, and usually a 9U bas...

We laugh, but it's not like they wouldn't sell out in 15 seconds.

Yeah, I want one. These materials are much more in line with the price than the original. Still not cheap, of course.

Re: Whats the next hot piece?
Personally I'm no longer interested in any variation of a mainstream model (PM2, Manix 2, Shaman, etc). I've had my fill of all those. I don't care how good the steel's supposed to be. What I am interested in is a brand new model. Whether it's a new Spyderco design or a collaboration model, I'd lik...

The Sprint Subvert has my attention, but it's probably not for everyone.

Re: Military 2 (PRE-ORDER) posted on KnifeCenter $196
Give it titanium and a different steel and I'm in. Spyderco's S30V has always seemed chippy to me.

Re: As we have the Stretch XL, could we revert to the Stretch 1 pattern for non-XL?
I like the original Stretch blade shape. It somewhat reminds me of the Jester, which I've always loved, and which needs to be regularly offered in G-10. The XL profile looks more like a cross between a Police and a PM2.

Re: A separate brand for Titanium knives from Spyderco ?
I could see the Glessers believing (justifiably, IMO) that use of the Spyderco round hole for Byrd knives might tend to devalue the trademark. I don't think that concern would be as applicable with use by an upscale offshoot brand , although I still don't expect this to ever happen. I will say, howe...

Re: The Paramilitary 2 is the best knife Spyderco has ever made.
I understand that it's very popular, but it doesn't make my top 5 because: (1) compression lock, which I find ergonomically unpleasant, and (2) G10, as I much prefer titanium.

Re: Crowned spines
Yeah, I really appreciate the rounded spine on my small 21. It was the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box. Although I sometimes wish more knives had this feature, I kind of how like it sets the Sebenza apart from the rest of my knives.

Re: Why is the PM2 more popular when the Manix 2 is objectively better?
Well, although I agree that the Manix is better, I do think that this is an entirely subjective decision. For me, it comes down to hating the compression lock. I like pretty much everything else about the PM2 more, but I've resolved not to buy compression lock knives again. I'd really like a titaniu...

Re: New Spyderco Paysan CQI: defective & disappointing
Where did DLT Trading say that all of their Paysans in this latest run had lock stick? I’d like to see what all they said. Mine came in from them yesterday and, while I haven’t played with it much yet, I didn’t notice anything particularly unusual. Honestly, I’d prefer a bit of lock stick over the a...

Re: M390 Delica Blue FRN Bento Box Shop Exclusive
M390 paired with FRN has more than a hint of lipstick on a pig, to me. Then again, I've always hated FRN. No interest in this thing, whatsoever.
