Re: Salt Knives Only!

Is that a coated blade, or just the lighting? That would be perfect in SE!

Re: The MicroJimbo reviewed: The Yojimbo 2 as a "little big knife"

Your reviews are fantastic, and appreciated. The Lil Temp LW one was particularly influential 😉. I think this one may be as well, as I now feel I should have a full size Yojimbo.

Is Nick/Mushroom right about all of this?
It seems too plausible, unfortunately.

Re: Spymyto is hot!

It is a cool knife. The bladestock is thick, but it is also thick on the Lil Temperance, and was on the Superleaf (all 4mm), for whatever that's worth.

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!

I don't have any Mules because the fixed blade laws in CA are stupid. I rarely get to carry my Jumpmaster, or even my ARK. I am very tempted by this one though.

Re: Memory Lane...

Oh man! What I would give to have those!! You drive a hard bargain, sir. PM me with your mailing address, and I'll get them boxed up and dropped off at the Pony Express Office. I'll let you know what the shipping comes to, and you can Apple Pay me that amount. It might take me a week or two to get ...

Re: Still wishing for a Chaparral XL / Endela "thin edition" / or something along that lines

I'm guessing a little over 84 grams/3 oz. Thinking about it though, that would not be too heavy at all. I still need a SE version of the current Chap LW first though.

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run

I think the Catcherman might be too specialized as a filet knife to be a do anything EDC, but we'll find out. I really like Wartstein's idea of a longer Chaparral, still thin, and not a Sage. It might get a bit heavy though.

Re: Native 5 Lightweight - Lube pivot or not?

Knife Pivot Lube has a thin, needle-like applicator. You can oil the lock bar, tang, and even do a decent job of getting some on each side of the pivot, without disassembly. They have a thick and a thin, and they're foodsafe. All it takes is a little bit.

I always lube linerless spydies. It makes their action smoother just like any other knife.
Exactly this. It makes them smoother, and can't hurt, so why not? Just a couple drops, and it doesn't have to be often, you'll know when you should.

Yeah, a very cool little utility/edc knife. It's much more versatile that way anyway.

Re: My on going salt steel comparison journal

Thanks. I am also a big believer in the linerless Salts. I love them. I asked because vivi's sample has play/rock. My Pac Salt doesn't. It can be luck of the draw, I guess.
