Re: Police4 FRN ETA

In addition to all black or all blue FRN, a black/blue Zome FRN would make sense and probably look nice as well.

Dark blue? Like a police uniform? I think most people would be okay with a midnight blue. :) That’s my vote.
Agreed. Navy blue or like denim blue.

A dark blue like the Emerson Openers makes a lot of sense. However, my prediction is black and if I could choose it'd be foliage green.

It's a fantastic folder. To me there's no reason to consider similar models like the Delica or Dragonfly.

Re: In search of a real kitchen folder

I also suggest a Police4 (or a Police3 if you want stainless). Despite its name, I think it's better suited in the kitchen with its long thin blade (112 mm x 3 mm). It also carries nicely in the pocket with its overall thinness and four-way clip. It's also worth noting that a Police4 FRN is in the w...

Re: Spyderco Knife Of The Year 2017

Difficult decision, even with my selective purchasing. 1. UK Penknife CPM S110V - ergonomics, simplicity, super steel, improvements over previous design, and completely surprising how much I like it 2. Police 4 K390 - probably would have been my top choice if it was FRN (I'll save that for next year...

Re: Police4 FRN ETA

Hi Mosteen, I'm with you on the reasons. I really like my FRN pieces. However, we are just beginning the project and I would guess you and I will have to be patient. Designing, engineering prototyping, tooling must be made, samples made and refined, production prototype approved, schedule for produ...

Police4 FRN ETA

I'm really excited for this knife and wondering what the ETA might be. Anyone else? I didn't see it in the 2018 Product Guide so I'm hoping it makes it in the 2018 Mid Year Supplement. I've tried the Police 4 G10, but found the full steel liners are a bit sharp and make the knife unbalanced (handle ...

Re: Future plans for the UKPK?

CPM Cruwear, CPM M4, and K390 would be great (or other tool steels). I would buy any of those in a foliage green FRN handle.

I feel like this model is a great platform for more steel choices so I'm looking forward to future variations.

Re: Spyderco Factory Outlet Seconds Sale 2017

Not as many knives this year as in years past, but I did get there after noon (1215). There was still a small line out the door and I spent about an hour and a half in line (1345) and about the same amount of time inside circling the two tables once. Found two needles (lefties), one surprise (CF M4 ...

I have a factory second LW S110V that looks the same. To me it's a cosmetic issue as long as the edge area is symmetric.

Re: 2015 Second Sale Report

I showed up around the same time as last year (0530-0600), but was quite a bit closer in line. The weather was colder than last year and our hosts were nice enough to open the doors to the atrium around 0700. I wasn't in the first wave of 60, but wasn't far behind them and made it through the doors ...

Military Left Hand (aka Lefty) Love

I love this knife, anyone else? I've had and have several other Spydercos, but this one is my go to EDC. I've generally been able to adapt to using "normal" liner locks like the Gayle Bradley and Tenacious, but was never able to adjust to closing and pocketing the RH Milie. I really apprec...
