I believe only the dlc model comes with black screws and clip.

I've got 5 mxg clips and they look strikingly similar to the lynch clip. The ones I have all hold very secure and have good fit and finish.

I recently bought a 4.5in paring knife and its great, I bet the vg-10 chef knife is even more amazing.

You could gently heat your sheath and loosen it slightly if needed as well.

The fit is extremely tight with the option 4 scales. Or it was for my 2 mules with the halpern scales.
